Egg Custard Pao is known in China as Liu Sha Bao. It is a bao bun with an overflowing salty filling made with salted egg yolks, butter, evaporated milk, custard powder and sugar. Usually served warm, and your first bite will expose the oozing filling immediately.

Ingredients Wheat Flour, Egg, Water, Food Color, Sugar, Evaporated Milk, Butter, Vanilla Extract, Baking Powder, Yeast, Salt, Condensed Milk.

Lightly coat/ spray some oil on a metal steam rack, line the rack with parchment paper (optional) or if you have a bamboo steamer that is best.
Place in a pot of boiling water, but do not submerge the rack or steamer.
Arrange the frozen egg custard pao in single layer, spaced out evenly on top of the rack and steam for 15 - 20 minutes.
