The Chicken Siomai recipe is another variation of the siomai or shaomai which usually have beef or other meat fillings. With this recipe, lean ground chicken is combined with vegetables and seasonings wrapped in a thin layer of dough wrapper. A popular snack staple especially in Chinese restaurants, it makes up for an easy meal to make after the initial preparation as all you need to do is stock it into your freezer and steam when hungry. Its tasty, soft and juicy texture makes it a popular choice for children and chicken lovers.

Preparation & Usage
Preparation & Usage Pan – Sear: (Time: 5- 7 minutes)
Add 2-3 oz of water to the pan to coat the bottom of the pan.
Add the frozen chicken siomai cover and cook until most of the water is absorbed
Reduce heat and add ½ oz of corn or sesame oil, cover and let simmer 3-4 minutes until golden brown
NOTE:There only needs to be enough water to cover the bottom of the pan to steam the siomai.

Deep Fry: (Time: 2-3 minutes)

Place a deep-frying pan on medium heat. Add enough oil to completely submerge the siomai.
Once the oil is hot, slide the frozen chicken siomai in gently, one by one, into the oil.Gently stir and turn them over occasionally until it is golden-brown on all sides.
